Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Floyd County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a partner search means you accept them. Do not continue using the service if you disagree.

NO FCRA USE. This private resource is not affiliated with any government body, is not a private investigation firm, and is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or any other Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. Its function is to identify Floyd County, Kentucky record channels.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of courts and law enforcement. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve a file, conduct an official check, or submit paperwork for a user.

Its pages point toward the Floyd Circuit Court Clerk, Floyd County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police, AOC, Kentucky Sex Offender Registry, and other custodians. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only under these rules. You may not:

  • Use the service in violation of any applicable law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Apply the content to an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into a system or account
  • Deploy a scraper, bot, or automated collection tool
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached here or through a linked service must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Kentucky State Police publishes the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry under KRS 17.580 for public safety awareness. Harassment or harassing communications can violate KRS 525.070 or KRS 525.080. Registry access never authorizes vigilantism or another unlawful use.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports, credit files, or official background checks. You agree that neither site content nor a linked tool will be used to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a housing or rental application
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility or terms
  • Determine eligibility for a regulated license, benefit, or program
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A legally regulated check must come from an authorized official process or a compliant consumer reporting agency, not from this resource.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Floyd County records are not legal advice. A Kentucky lawyer should address how a charge, warrant, conviction, sentence, or expungement rule affects a particular matter.

6. No Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without a promise that:

  • Content will always be complete, current, or error free
  • Access will remain continuous
  • A page or system will have no defect or security weakness
  • A partner result will be accurate or comprehensive

Charges, dispositions, custody, sealing, and expungement status can change. A page may therefore lag an official source. Only the maintaining court or agency can state what its current record shows.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a court, sheriff, state agency, legal resource, or private search provider. We do not control an outside site's availability, accuracy, fees, content, or data practices. Its own policies apply after a visitor leaves this service.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Floyd County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Copying, distributing, modifying, or making derivative works requires prior written permission unless law provides otherwise.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the service, its content, or a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by your use or breach of these terms, including related legal costs where permitted.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms, including the Kentucky Open Records Act only where it applies to public agencies and KRS Chapter 17 where criminal-history dissemination is relevant. A dispute concerning use of this private site must be brought in a court located in Kentucky.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms become effective when posted. Continued use after posting means the revised conditions are accepted.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in force. The affected text is adjusted only as far as necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
